MECCA Builders, a family owned and operated business, is becoming a leader in today’s innovative custom crafted homes industry.

Owned by Ali Asmar and Phil Bullis, MECCA has more than 35 years of combined building experience.

Ali grew up in New York City and has been involved with all aspects of construction as his father was in the industry. Ali began visiting job sites at an early age. Ali knew as a young boy that construction would become his livelihood and his passion.

Ali moved to Florida in 1990 and in 1996 began working for Bullis Custom Homes. In 2001, he started his own Real Estate Investment Company, MECCA Enterprises, LLC, which was an investment company focused on rehabilitating distressed homes. For several years, Ali mastered the art of remodeling and rehabilitating homes and concluded that inasmuch as he enjoyed the process, he missed new construction.

In 2003, Ali partnered with Phil Bullis, the owner of Bullis Custom Homes, and they formed MECCA Builders.

Phil was born and raised in Northern Vermont and began his construction career while still in high school and continued his career in Vermont for 18 years. In 1978 Phil made the move to Volusia County with his wife and two sons.

Bullis Custom Homes was Phil’s company name prior to partnering with Ali in 2003, and while in business, he masterfully crafted more than 500 homes, the majority of which were custom designed and built.

Phil and Ali’s mission is to closely listen to and communicate with their clients, to offer innovative floors plans with custom appointments that are crafted with quality materials and unprecedented workmanship. It is their privilege to serve you.
